Designed mainly for, but not limited to the student majoring in Criminal Justice. It surveys the American criminal justice system. Elements of crime, defenses, historical foundation, limits, proposes and functions of criminal law are discussed. Students will understand the key general principles that relate to criminal law, criminal liability, complicity, uncompleted crimes, defenses to criminal liability and the various crimes in our legal systems.
