This is an introduction to the historical, social, and cultural foundations of education. Students examine the interdependence of school and society, along with the influence of that interdependence on curricular and instructional practices in PreK-12 classrooms. Prerequisite: ELED 1010 or TEAL 1010 HDFS 1500 or FCHD 1500 MATH 1050 or MATH 1051 or ACT Math 26 or higher or AP Calculus A/B or B/C with a 3 or higher BPS or BLS requirement fulfilled Cleared background check Corequisites: ELED 3002 ELED 3100
